Menstruation also known as “that time of the month” is quite unpleasant and sometimes really painful period of the month. Some women during those days are going trough real hell.

- Having Unprotected Sex
It is highly recommended to avoid sexual intercourse during those days of the month. Still, if you decide to do it anyway, make sure to use a protection and thus to avoid infections.
- Skipping Meals
Skipping the main meals at this time of the month is really bad idea. During your period you are losing blood, and in order to keep your energy levels up you need to eat properly.
- Physical Work
If you are suffering from stomach or back pain, it is advisable to avoid any physical work. On that way you will prevent possible complications and more painful period.
- Eat Fast Food
You can eat more than usually, but make sure to avoid junk food. Maybe eating some tasty fast food in the middle of the night seems like a good idea, but your stomach disagrees with you.
For some women this is literally impossible. But if you can stay at home for day or two while you’re on your period, our advice is to take a rest and relax.
- Staying Up All Night
Going to bed early is important for your overall health. But, when it comes to periods, by going to bed early you can pass them with less problems. Experts explain that the body produces a hormone called melatonin in the early part of the night. This hormone has a vital role for numerous segments of the health. It is important to highlight that disturbing the production of melatonin may cause severe negative consequences.
Avoid soda water.
Avoid drinking ice water as by doing that there is a possibility the menstrual blood to remain in the uterine wall.
Avoid eating cucumbers as certain substances found in the cucumber can cause some stay in the uterus walls.
